In this sixth and the last part of THE HUMAN FACE John Cleese and Elizabeth Hurley wonder is beauty a passport or "just" a visa to success, with an expiration date on it?
Find out why Candice Bergen thought of being beautiful as a death sentence or why Pierce Brosnan wanted to be ugly, with a broken nose or a scare. "Shame goes on with beauty," says occasional James Bond.
What could we say as the conclusion of this journey through the beauty of a human face? Perhaps we should quote two very different men, Abraham Lincoln and Albert Camus, saying basically the same:
"Alas after a certain age, every man is responsible for his own face," Albert Camus.
"Every man over forty is responsible for his face," Abraham Lincoln.
Or perhaps you should also know, when looking in the mirror, that the smiling face looking back at you is a real miracle, a reflection of universal beauty, some divine proportion bestowed upon you, and even if you, from time to time, think you're not that beautiful, think twice. Your face is only and one, not like any other among billions of people, therefore unique and beautiful.
